Recap of ADMARP's inaugural Digital Marketing Virtual Exhibition

The Association of Digital Marketing Professionals of Nigeria (ADMARP) held the maiden edition of Digital Marketing Virtual Exhibition (DMVE) on December 12, 2020.

The DMVE was themed: Technology for Customer Understanding, Engagement and Action in 2021. And one of its aim was to provide marketing professionals the opportunity to experience some of the leading marketing and advertising technology solutions suitable for their businesses as they plan for the year ahead.

The inaugural Virtual Exhibition which lasted for six hours brought together about 1,000 participants, including over 150 C-suite executives, business owners, digital marketers, and industry enthusiasts. It also showcased marketing technology solutions from Opera, Oracle, Terragon, DoChase, Eskimi, and Mdundo.

"The exhibitors came prepared and were thorough in showing the participants their platforms". Oti Ukubeyinje, President of ADMARP, said. "I dare say this was our most successful event since the establishment of the Association".

ADMARP's first Digital Marketing Virtual Exhibition

The Acting Marketing Director of Coca-Cola Nigeria, Abiodun Ajiborode, talked about the transition from traditional marketing during his keynote address. He also addressed the issue of outcomes and expectations of marketing activities in a sophisticated 21st century market, particularly in respect to innovative digital strategies to get people's attention and convert leads.

The panel session moderated by Ose Osundeko, Group Head of Digital Marketing at Fidelity Bank had conversations about investment in technology tools and effective marketing activities. The panelists were Dayo Adefila, Dayo Elegbede, Lanre Basamta, Buki Osunkeye, and Damilola Abodunrin.

Ukubeyinje said: "The panel discussion was particularly interesting as panelists answered key questions that resonated with participants. For example, answering questions such as whether organisations should work with in-house team or agencies was significant as participants included in-house staff and agency employees".
