It's that time of the year again, when developers congregate to connect and learn. #DevFest Lagos 2019 will be taking place at The Grand Atrium, Lekki, on November 2, 2019.

Organized by the Google Developer Group in Lagos (GDG Lagos), the 2019 edition of the annual developers' festival aims to outdo #DevFest Lagos 2018. It will bring together thousands of developers, engineers, designers, technology enthusiasts and leaders from across Nigeria to learn about Google technologies, and how to use technology as a veritable tool in solving human problems.

Indeed, technology is not a silver bullet for all human problems but it can (and has) make (made) our lives better and easier.

In tandem with last year's theme of Digital Wellbeing, DevFest Lagos 2019 will focus on Stepping Up. The talks, sessions and resources that will be shared will revolve around how developers can grow to become amazing professionals. "10x professionals", if you please.

DevFest is always in touch with the base. In 2018, one of the burning issues was people's addiction to technology. So much so that Google has provided a tool to enable people manage their own digital wellbeing. Hence the theme of the DevFest Lagos last year.

Early this year, arguments about the proverbial 10x engineer (or broadly, any profession) resurfaced. Although the jury is still out on who or what makes a 10x engineer (or employee generally), the consensus is that every employee must step up to become an amazing professional.

You should register for the DevFest 2019 to learn how to become an amazing professional.
