Miss Victory Yinka-Banjo, a 17-year-old teenager who serves as the student ambassador and content creator on the Learn at Home audio e-learning platform, has won 19 scholarship offers worth over $5 million from top schools in the US and Canada. Victory currently creates audio e-learning content on Mathematics, English and Sciences for radio broadcast on www.learnathome.radio .

The Learn at Home audio platform supports over 5 million learners across Nigeria with specific focus on preparation for national examinations and remedial support to cover the learning gap created by the COVID lockdown. The initiative is a Pan-Nigerian inclusive learning intervention by Data Science Nigeria and Malezi with the support of the MasterCard Foundation.

Victory has demonstrated consistent academic credentials from her secondary school days and had one of the best graduating scores in a national examination, scoring straight A1s in her West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Victory was also rated as the "Top in the World" in English as a second language by the University of Cambridge International Examination (CIE).

Victory's scholarship offers her the opportunity to study Computational Biology at top Ivy League schools like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Virginia, Yale College, Princeton University, Harvard College, University of Toronto, Brown University amongst  others.

At Learn at Home, Victory also supports learners through the Telegram students' support platform, where students share pictures of their schoolwork with experienced teachers who assist them in solving their schoolwork and provide further explanation on the topics. She is also involved in Live audio classes and nationwide radio outreach on 10 radio stations across Nigeria. The audio e-learning platform, www.learnathome.radio runs on all types of basic feature phones and teaches 10 Nigerian primary and secondary school subjects. It also solves and explains past questions in WAEC, Junior WAEC, NECO and Common Entrance from 2009 till date. All MTN subscribers can browse the platform free of charge to enjoy unlimited learning.

In her word, Toyin Adekanmbi, Executive Director, Data Science Nigeria, "we are very proud of Victory Yinka-Banjo. She is an epitome of excellence and can-do. Her passion for sharing her knowledge and inspiring other students is amazing, and thanks to Mastercard Foundation for creating a platform where her contribution has been amplified to reach many students across Nigeria."
