Seerbit and Consonance to host the Future of Payment Hackathon with over $30K in prizes and seed funding

Africa’s most reliable payment solutions provider, SeerBit has announced the start of registration for its first-ever hackathon, The Future of Payment Hackathon, which will take place virtually.

The hackathon is inspired by a widely shared social media narrative about the ecosystem's oversaturation with FinTechs. SeerBit believes that there aren't enough FinTechs and that there are more problems to solve, which is why SeerBit is challenging developers to come and build some of these solutions using SeerBit's APIs for a chance to win up to $30,000 in prizes and seed funding.

The event, organized in partnership with Consonance Club, Ventures Platform Hub, and Oui Capital, will bring together developers, designers, and entrepreneurs to share innovative ideas and build technological solutions that will power Africa's commerce engine. The event is noteworthy because it offers young Africans a platform to provide solutions and prove their years of preparation and hard work.

The event is worth every attention it gets, not only to experience creative innovations unfold but also to discover what makes up unique payment service providers.  There's an opportunity for every innovator, no matter the skill set, to team up with fellow intellectuals to proffer solutions.

The future of the payment hackathon by Seerbit is the talk of the town on every tech-vibrant campus, as students are raving about the exciting opportunity to do what they love to do. It's an opportunity to put in the work and be the change you want to see in the world, starting from Africa.

The teams involved are also working tirelessly behind the scenes to put things in order for the anticipated hackathon. Little wonder Seerbit is unarguably Africa's most reliable payment service provider. It goes without saying that behind this very successful corporation is a team of dedicated and vision-oriented talents.

The Hackathon will take place virtually starting with registration from November 1st to November 10th, with approximately 200 developers participating. Shortlisted participants will virtually demo their solution to the judges on November 21st, and the winners will be announced on November 26th at the Google DevFest event in Lagos.
