Mest Express is currently accepting applications for its next cohort. Impact-driven founders in Ghana whose startups are using technology to address Sustainable Development Goals are encouraged to apply.

Participating startups will receive upfront equity-free grant funding and get access to investment opportunities through the program.

This cohort is focused on empowering startups in Ghana that are providing solutions that use technology to drive transformational change to create a more sustainable future for all. The accelerator targets founders who are passionate about, and believe in, a world where everyone can thrive.

MEST in partnership with Mastercard announces MEST Scale Accelerator for SMEs in Ghana
MEST Scale is a venture acceleration program designed by MEST, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, to help Small and Medium Enterprises strengthen their operations, address key technology gaps, and increase their ability and capacity to scale their growth

The 20-week acceleration program, under the Mastercard Foundation’s Young Africa Works strategy, offers startups in each the opportunity to participate in a pitching session where top-performing ventures will receive equity-free grant funding.

The program will commence on the 28th of July 2022 and end on the 25th of November, 2022.  The sessions will be held in person at the MEST campus as well as online.

MEST Express is an acceleration program focused on providing investment-readiness support to early and growth-stage startups in Ghana. It is designed to deliver hands-on business interventions that are focused on rapid practical application and observable business outcomes. The program works with founders to ensure their businesses are poised for growth and increased impact.

What you need to know about startup accelerators
Accelerators give startups the opportunity to test run their business model in a safe space so they can spot weaknesses and adjust things as they go along.

It supports startups with equity-free grant funding for sustained growth, mentorship from industry professionals, technical strategies focused on rapid application, and access to a community of experts, investors, and founders.
