Kwik Delivery partners with Mastercard to provide discounts to Nigerian cardholders

Kwik Delivery and Mastercard have announced a partnership to provide discounts on all Kwik Delivery services to Mastercard cardholders in Nigeria.

Kwik Delivery is a leading last-mile delivery tech company launched in Lagos in 2019.  It enables Nigerian businesses to deliver their goods faster, on-time and with the visibility provided by technology. So far, the company has serviced over 30,000 B2B users.

It's recent partnership with Mastercard, the de facto leader of Nigeria's debit card market, aims to establish the startup as a key player in the industry. Starting from the first day of December, 2020, all Mastercard cardholders can benefit from a 10% discount on Kwik Delivery services, subject to terms and conditions, provided that they pay with their Mastercard.

The discounts will last for the next 12 months and are applied as credits on the customer’s in-app wallet.

Speaking on the newly formed partnership, Romain Poirot-Lellig, CEO and founder of Kwik Delivery, said "It enables our customers to benefit from attractive rebates while  further raising Kwik's profile on the Nigerian business scene".

Although Mastercard has over 70 million customers in Nigeria, only those resident in Lagos can take advantage of the offer as Kwik Delivery is not yet available outside the state. Kwik CEO, Romain Poirot, however, has revealed that plans are underway to expand the company's services to other states in 2021.

In November 2020, Kwik Delivery also announced a partnership with the Total Nigeria and the Commission of Corporate Affairs. The partnership allows businesses use Total service stations as secure pickup locations for important documents issued by the CAC to Nigerian businesses.

Romain also disclosed to Benjamindada.com that the company was on the cusp of closing a financing round of €2 million that started in April 2020. Full disclosure on the round will be made soon.

The Kwik delivery app can be download at the following addresses on android phones and iOS devices. The discount also applies to the KwikBites food delivery app that can downloaded at the following addresses on both Android and iOS.
