Eight Medical Announces Inaugural Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week
This year marks the 50th global anniversary of EMS Week, and to commemorate this milestone, Eight Medical has a jam-packed week of activities aligned with the theme "Honoring Our Past, Forging Our Future: Bridging the Gap in our EMS System."
Eight Medical, a pan-African leader in end-to-end emergency services, is proud to announce its inaugural Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, taking place May 19th through 24th, 2024.
This week-long initiative is designed to: educate the public on emergency preparedness and life-saving skills; raise awareness about the vital role of Emergency Medical Services; and honor EMS personnel for their dedication and exceptional service.
Since launching in 2021, the tech-enabled startup, Eight Medical has established itself as a vital resource for urgent and emergency care across Africa. They've built a robust network of over 375 dedicated field personnel and ambulances, responding to more than 14,000 distress calls and providing critical assistance to 7,000 individuals. This impressive track record has earned them a well-deserved reputation as the "911 of Africa."
With their unwavering commitment to connecting users to emergency medical resources within 8 minutes or less, Eight Medical is demonstrably transforming the healthcare landscape in Africa.
